Dead Space 2 Seamless Texture Compatibility

Dead Space 2 Seamless Texture Compatibility loads compatible TexMod texture packs when you start the game through Steam’s normal Play button. Install it once, add your texture packs, and play normally. No renamed game EXE or Steam launch options are needed.

Install

Extract the main ZIP into the folder containing

deadspace2.exe

For Vortex installation, use a Dead Space 2 game-support extension that places files in the game folder. (If you use my extension, vortex will automatically deploy .tpf files into the proper folders). Just download using vortex and this mod should work.

On first use, the mod may ask to download and verify the original TexMod. Later launches are automatic.

This download contains no texture packs or TexMod. Return to Titan is an optional example of a compatible texture pack; download it from its author separately.

Important: If another mod already uses

version.dllin your game folder, resolve that conflict before installing. Do not overwrite that file.

Remove: In Vortex, disable this mod and deploy or purge. For manual removal, close the game and remove only this mod’s

version.dll,

DS2TextureLauncher.exe,

DS2SeamlessTextures.json, and

DS2STC-docsfolder. Leave your texture packs and saves alone.

Tested with the original Steam release of Dead Space 2. Steam Overlay may not open with Shift+Tab. Other storefront versions have not been tested.
