To Hell and Back

Case #16: To Hell and Back He tortures with glee. Giggles from all directions. A man who is mad, cannot live with me. I need to break into an ash factory and kill the next elite, Cadmus. Destroy all the ash and kill Cadmus. An engineer who was good friends with Timur himself. He was driven deep into madness after a mysterious accident. He's known to acknowledge every possible way that a situation can go. The workers at the factory have been exposed to dangerous amounts of ash. Because of this, the spots at which they revive can be predicted by looking for spontaneously appearing piles of ash. Dark brown doors are a good way for backup to come in from if a certain enemy is killed. --BONUS CHALLENGE-- "Master and Commander" Beat "To Hell and Back" in one attempt. Author's Opinion: This level is so old that I first had the idea for it when Last Stand only had 8 levels. Since then, it has changed immensely. So the idea of this level is that you keep going down; it's essentially the opposite of Tower of the Damned. The first section of the level was quite easy for me make, since I already had the first few rooms in an older version of the level. I just had to update them with my new level-making "experience". After getting some playtesting help from Kilozombie, I made the first section the best that it could be, and I had an idea for how the second section would go: parkour through the elevator shaft. Unfortunately, I couldn't make something that I liked for the life of me. It always felt like it didn't have any personality and that it undermined the new character, Cadmus. And so, I decided to think about what makes Cadmus, Cadmus: an unreasonable amount of love for chaos and destruction. I won't spoil what the finished product is, but I am so proud of it. To me, it feels like it really does a good job introducing an important character. Good luck.
