X Gon' Give It To Ya - Parry and Riposte SFX

Make your parries give you an even bigger dopamine surge...

Replaces the Parry SFX with the "X Gon" and the Riposte SFX with the "Give it to Ya" vocals from the song "DMX - X Gon' Give It To Ya" inspired by the Souls YouTuber Prod.

• []Open your Dark Souls: Remastered folder

  []Drag and drop the mod file "frpg_main.fsb" into "\steamapps\common\DARK SOULS REMASTERED\sound"

  []Click yes to replace the file

  []Done

I used "Dark Souls Sound Inserter" to extract the audio files "kill-success.wav" (Parries) and "kill-chance.wav" (Ripostes).

I merged this with the vocals in Audacity, set the sample rate to 22050 hz and the file format to MP3 160kbps, if you don't format the file like this then it will have a crackling sound effect.

Is this safe to use online?

I'm not 100% sure, you shouldn't get banned since this is just replacing files the same way texture mods are replaced, and those will

not get you banned.

Either way you should be playing with the "Dark Souls 1 PvP Overhaul" mod, which disables FromSoft's awful "anticheat" and that in turn will prevent you from getting softbanned in the first place (Along with adding very awesome QoL features like Wex Dust).

One last thing concerning online play with this mod, the parry sound effect for phantoms is played at a lower pitch, but the riposte sound effect is not.
