DSR Configurator (Camera and QOL Utility)

Allows the user to set their FOV, camera distance and disable camera auto rotation. Also includes an experimental framerate unlocker.

Installation:

Extract d3d11.dll and the DLLMods folder to your Dark Souls Remastered game directory (steamapps\common\DARK SOULS REMASTERED)

Configuration:

DSR_Configurator.txt can edited either directly or in game with the F1 GUI. Framerate behavior can be toggled with the default binding of Ctrl+Backspace. Settings can be changed in real time.

Available Settings:

FOV: Higher values display more of the game scene

Distance: Moves the camera forward or backwards

Height: Moves the camera up or down

Camera Auto Rotation: True is default behavior. False stops the camera from moving as the player moves.

Enabled: Off returns the game to stock 60fps behavior. Safe to toggle mid-game.

Target FPS: Framerate to run at. Physics is retimed to match. Pick one your PC can hold.

Toggle Key: Switches between Target FPS and stock 60fps while playing.

Uninstallation:

Navigate to your Dark Souls Remastered game directory (steamapps\common\DARK SOULS REMASTERED)

Delete d3d11.dll and the DLLMods folder.

Compatibility:

The DLLMods folder will load any .dll inside of it. This mod should be compatible with almost any Dark Souls Remastered mod.

DSR Configurator is NOT compatible with the original Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition.

Known Issues:

Higher FPS = More Bugs. Stay below 200fps.

Jump distance, backstep distance, mouse input, camera follow rate, 2D art, etc. will scale slightly with the increased framerate. None of them are gamebreaking, but I've included a toggle (default: Ctrl + Backspace) in case you encounter any issues in gameplay.

The infamous ladder slide-death bug may still occur on a few ladders in the game. Flip the framerate back to normal when sliding to avoid it.

Use this software at your own risk. This mod has not been tested online.
