Dalsha's Focused Fault Adjustment

HOW TO INSTALL:

  1. Download and open the mod file

  2. Open the DD2 file path DarkestDungeonII --> Darkest Dungeon II_Data --> Streaming Assets --> Excel 

  3. Copy the .csv file from inside the Adjusted Focused Fault folder into the Excel folder and replace the file in destination

It's no secret that a lot of people feel that the Focused Fault just is a little bit too powerful right now and for good reason. While the fight can be made much simpler with taunt tokens, it doesn't feel right that you need to select the correct characters from the very start and get lucky with turn order during the first round of the fight, plus there's still nothing you can really do against back-to-back Limerence crits and the boss itself has just too much HP for the damage it deals.

This mod's changes aim to allow teams other than three full damage, one full tank using taunt on round one to have better chances against the Fault. The lower health means you can now afford to use one character for support since their damage contribution is no longer mandatory and lower overall Limerence damage means that bringing three heroes down to 0 twice every round is a bit less likely to happen.

That said this boss still has absolutely insane damage output and is still definitely balanced in favour of the game so don't feel like putting on this mod is turning on easy mode, it's just less hard mode.

If at any point you wish to go back to fighting the vanilla Focused Fault then repeat installation step 3 except copy the file from within the Vanilla Focused Fault folder instead.
