Gay Marriage Mod

In this mod, take a romantic trip to Anor Londo to get summoned into your same-sex sweetheart's world and slay the sludge monster that ruined their life. Or if longterm commitment is more your thing, head down to cozy Darkmoon Tomb and "marry" your beloved instead.

This mod makes Anri male if the player character is male and female if the player character is female. To do it the other way around, just play the base game. The mod can be installed at any time and will affect all save files until it is uninstalled.

Only use this offline (or with Mod Engine blockNetworkAccess), and delete affected save files before going back online (or use Mod Engine useAlternateSaveFile). Any edits to params may potentially trigger permanent bans.

Installation

1. Install DS3 Mod Engine. This requires the latest patch, installed legitimately from Steam.

2. Download and unzip DS3GayMarriage.zip directly into your DS3 game directory - "C:\Program Files (x86)\steam\steamapps\common\DARK SOULS III\Game" by default. The zip archive contains only a folder called "gay", which contains the mod files. This folder must be added directly to your game directory, not in a subdirectory.

3. Back in the game directory, edit modengine.ini to change modOverrideDirectory="\gay" and useModOverrideDirectory=1

4. Start up the game to load the new params. An extra in-game quit-out (or bonfire warp) may be required if Anri was loaded in before.

To uninstall the mod, disable useModOverrideDirectory. To remove Mod Engine altogether, delete input8.dll.

This mod edits an event script (common.emevd.dcx) to change Anri's character model - which is fairly minor - and more importantly edits TalkParam in Data0.bdt to change the dialogue/audio. To merge with a different param-editing mod, you may need to use something like Yabber.
