📋 About This Mod
BR85 Gun Mod
This mod will replace one of the most hard hitting and effective crossbows in the game with one of the most effective and hard hitting guns from the Halo franchise. The new reticle is modeled after the actual BR crosshair from Halo. This mod will also allow crossbows to be fired full-auto instead of single shot, but you can of course still tap fire for accuracy. The new sounds are from Halo 4, although the gun model is from Halo 5. The HUD/Menu icon is no longer a crossbow it's a Battle Rifle as well. Finally, the Arbalest has also been appropriately renamed BR85 in the game, and the explosive and splintering bolts are now renamed "Ammunition Box" and "Flechette Rounds". With the optional requirement listed they'll have more damage and can be bought at the Firelink vendor for 10 and 30 souls each. More details on that below.
I opted to not edit the data file for this mod to maximize compatibility. However, if you want higher damage, cheaper ammo, etc. you can merge this mod with my other mod that buffs crossbows, found on my profile. You do not need any requirements for that mod, they're all optional and the mod will work without them. Unfortunately, this mod isn't very compatible with the Modern Firearm mod because they edit the same chr, parts, and sound files. IF you choose to merge them I'd highly suggest using that mod's chr folder and this mod's parts/sound. Enjoy!
