Grimorium ENB

Grimorium ENB is my fifth and last ENB released for a game on the Nexus. Using some assets from a still unreleased ENB I've been working on for Skyrim during the past month I've put toghether a really nice looking ENB which has barely any performance hit.

Some stuff is still work in progress, and the ENB is subject to change in quite a few aspects, however I'd like to put it out for everyone to try to make it an option for anyone willing to play with these settings.

The features are:

Slightly tweaked bloom parameters Custom lens effects, tinting and lens texture High-bokeh, soft blur DoF with distance sampling and strong luminace values, akin to a camera lens with a strong focal point (check images for reference) Custom SSAO/SSIL settings Adaptation settings (HDR-like) Overall lighting tweaks to change the look of the game

To come: Most likely; Sun shaft and sun glare settings (which are already ready and only need importing with new ENB binaries).

• Download the enb binaries from enbdev page, linked here: http://enbdev.com/download_mod_darksouls2.htm
• (When in doubt, always download latest version), current is 0. 256 but expect updates.
• Download the packaged files from the download section.
• Extract the files you downloaded from Enbdev into your Dark Souls folder, in the same folder where the .exe is located
• Extract the files from the rar from this page and overwrite when asked, merge folders.

If you've done everything right, the game should work right off the bat. Remember though that if you want to use different proxy files, such as a custom SMAA or FXAA shader injector you need to put it in the proxy settings, in the enblocal.ini file.

When you launch the game, a confirmation on the top left corner of the screen should appear, with the information of the ENB binaries (in this case 0. 256).

To bring up the config GUI in-game, press Shift+F12

I also highly recommend setting the in-game settings for brightess to the LOWEST value. This helps the ENB settings make the contrast and blacks look better overall. If it makes the game too dark for you, use a close to lowest value.

Et voilá, ENB working.

SSAO may flicker in certain places, as well as shadows, this is most often seen in places with lots of fog (AO clips through fog and you can still see if even though you shouldn't) Since ENB uses a global setting, every place can't be attuned one on one to look perfect, if a place looks a bit odd or strange, my most sincere recommendation is to turn off ENB, or plain find another one you like more.
