How to install and uninstall
• Extract all files into your Dark Souls II Scholar of the First Sin game folder. (The "SeekerOfFire_2" folder, the modengine file, and dinput8.dll file all go into the game directory.) \Steam\steamapps\common\Dark Souls II Scholar of the First Sin\Game
• For compatibility with DS2LightingEngine, go into "SeekerOfFire_2" folder and delete the "Filter" folder.
• To uninstall, just remove the contents that were in the folder. (Delete "SeekerOfFire_2" folder, modengine, and dinput8.dll)
Disclaimers -
This mod is not compatible with mods that change Maps, Weapon Moveset Overhauls, Enemy Placements, Item Placements, and certain Texture changes (textures that change the player's hollow appearance, some armor sets, and a few NPCs are not compatible)
This mod can only be played by setting Textures to High and Character models set to use High Quality
Changes
This mod offers an abundance of changes that almost feels like an entirely new game. Here is a list of key changes to this enormous mod.- Enhanced new atmospheric lighting
- Reimagined game world and progression
- Improved weapon tracking and recoveries
- New and exciting weapon arts, as well as powerstancing weapon arts
- Completely revamped enemy and item placements
- New variety of weapons, armors, and especially spells
- Enhanced new quality of life gameplay
- Challenging boss fights with new engaging special attacks
- New clutter and environmental detail
- Extended game levels beyond the boundaries of the inaccessible parts of the game
- The ability to parry riposte bosses and more enemies'
- Improved the ADP stat while making it non-mandatory for decent iframes
- Improved player durability, also making weapon arts cost half as much
- Time exclusive reskinned weapons now integrated into the game
- Enhanced and retexture various NPCs, iconic armors, and entities
- Improved hitboxes
- Jump without sprinting (In settings make sure set Jump from "B" button to L3, otherwise you won't be able to dodge.)
A decent amount of unique game weapons now have additional or changes to various weapons movesets, the most notable changes are boss weapons, and some weapon that have projectiles can now project magic attacks while powerstanced. Startups and delays have definitely been improved to make the game feel more modern.
