Life in Night City is obviously not for the faint-hearted.
People shoot first and ask questions later. If you get hurt, you can patch yourself up with meds. But what about your car?
Jokes aside, the modding scene mostly offers two types of vehicle repair mods:
- fixed-cost CET commands
- vehicle respawn-based repairs, also usually with a fixed cost
Both work, but neither felt quite right to me.
Respawning can break your Taxi Work in Night City quest streak, and pressing a repair button in CET never felt very immersive. So I made this.
Yet Another Repair Garage adds physical repair garage locations to the world.
Drive to a repair shop marker — a small golden wrench on the map — and get as close as possible to the marker. After about 2 seconds, you should see a message saying that your vehicle is being inspected.
After that, you receive a repair quote.
If you stay in the repair zone for 7 seconds, your vehicle gets repaired. If you leave the zone, nothing happens and you are not charged.
The repair quote is based on your vehicle’s actual damage. Really.
The pricing also uses the stolen vehicle sale logic from my sister mod, Claim or Sell Vehicles, so cheap junkers, decent cars, and expensive rides should not all cost the same to repair.
