📋 About This Mod

Always felt that it was weird that all cars audibly shift gears but have no gear display, so I decided to create one.

Also pretty handy if you want to tune a specific gear with Authentic Shift.

It will show "N" for neutral and "R" for reverse.

Native Settings UI allows you to quickly switch between presets. Effects apply immediately.

You might notice the car goes into "N" when you brake. This is the normal vanilla behavior. I recommend using a mod like Immersive Driving to allow you to downshift smoothly.

PRESETS

Check the images for a preview of the presets.

1 = Top left position, small font size (Same size as Vehicle Durability Display top option)

2 = Top left position, larger font size

3 = Top center position, larger font size

4 = Top right position, larger font size

5 = Bottom left position, small font size (Same size as Vehicle Durability Display bottom option)

6 = Bottom center position, small font size

7 = Bottom right position, small font size

8 = Bottom center, small label font size, larger gear font size

9 = Experimental Mode. TPP preset

10 = Experimental Mode. TPP+FPP preset. Same styling as preset 9 in TPP but has different styling when in FPP.

Presets 1 - 8 are classic mode

Works seamlessly with the vanilla hud, but due to having it as a parent, it is only visible when the vanilla hud is also visible and is very limited on position and size.

Presets 9 - 10 are experimental mode

Works with both perspectives or you can choose to show it only in FPP or TPP. It can have different styling for each perspective.

This mode also allows the widget to be placed anywhere you choose by editing the values in the mod file.

Having the mod "FPP Speedometer" installed will make TPP presets also display while in FPP.

To modify or add new presets you can edit the file "init.lua" in the mod folder in "Cyberpunk 2077\bin\x64\plugins\cyber_engine_tweaks\mods\VehicleGearDisplay".

The slider in the native settings will read the amount of presets available and automatically adjust its size so you can easily add or remove presets.

Experimental Version

Released an experimental version that aims to fix known issue #1 and #2 listed below. If these issues bother you try the experimental version in the Optional Files and let me know if it works better.

Known Issues:

#1 - Mounting/Dismounting a vehicle with the FPP mode enabled (Preset 10) will show the FPP version of the Gear Display for a moment.

#2 - If the FPP Speedometer mod is installed, the above issue only happens when dismounting.

#3 - Changing Seats with the "Auto Drive Enchanced" or similar mods will show the Gear Display while changing seats if FPP mode is enabled

(Preset 10) or if
