Turn-On-Show-Off Nails (Glowing Nails)

Ever wanted to replace your boring 'ganic nails with miniature screens embedded into your fingertips? Look no further than Lead's Hi-Tech Cosmetic Appliances' Turn-On-Show-Off Nails! All the fun and fashion of traditional nail art, but without the annoyance of it flaking off after two days — and they glow! Perfect for harried mercs who want to look cute but simply don't have the time to constantly, painstakingly repaint their favorite nail colors and designs!

Ahem. Er, that nonsense aside, this came about after I made glowing versions of a couple nail appearances for my own characters, and it occurred to me that some of you fine folk in the Cyberpunk 2077 modding community might be interested in having rad glowing nails for your own characters, too. So I went ahead and gave all of the vanilla nail appearances a little... glow-up.

The designs and colors are largely the same as vanilla, just light-emissive, and with their normal and roughness maps changed to make them smooth and glossy like digital screens rather than organic fingernails made of keratin. I also made a few tweaks to the vanilla colors here and there and added effects (e.g. a luminosity gradient) to some of the ones that were just plain colors to make them a little more visually interesting. I may eventually come back with a few more versions that add animated effects to some of the designs.

The name of the mod (and the silly in-universe ad blurb I wrote above) are inspired by the Cyberpunk RED & 2020 fashionware item of the same name.

Compatibility

NOT compatible with: Unique Nails For V or any other mods that modify or replace the player nail textures or materials.

Compatible with: Probably everything else, including mods that change the nail shape (although, just as with the vanilla nail textures, the textures might appear a little stretched or warped on unusual nail shapes).

Permissions

Consider this mod a modder's resource. You have my full permission to do whatever the hell you want with it, especially since it's mostly just slightly edited stuff from the base game. But as it did take up a decent chunk of time and effort on my part, I do humbly ask that you don't just reupload the mod somewhere, whole-cloth, and claim it for your own — and also that you give me a little shoutout in your description or what-have-you if you release something that utilizes my work.

Technical Details for Nerds:

Basically, I altered all the nail materials to use a diffuse texture and an emissive map. Very simple for the couple of nail materials that already used diffuse textures: all I had to do was add an emissive map entry to the material's values array and path it to a texture I made from a slightly tweaked greyscale
