Tsunami Kyubi Caliber Conversion

Does it bother you that the Kyubi was designed as a semi-automatic battle rifle, but behaves like an intermediate assault rifle stuck in semi-auto?

Bothered me too, so I fixed it.

The Kyubi (and it's associated iconics) now have;

+ Approximately 15% more base damage

+ 25% additional headshot multiplier

+ Longer effective range

+ Reduced bullet spread

- Significantly more recoil

- Slower rate of fire

- Lower magazine capacity

What's all this do in effect? It makes it a competitor to the SOR-22 in it's role. It's a hard hitting, semi-automatic battle rifle. However, it is not a precision rifle, it is still an assault rifle. Therefore, it does not benefit from the massive stacking headshot damage increases that the SOR-22 does. Thus, has lower damage output. But, it is more controllable than the SOR-22, benefits from the assault rifle perks, and can equip a suppressor.

This rifle now sits in a happy middle ground between assault rifle and precision rifle. Less powerful than the precision rifles, but more controllable. More powerful than the other assault rifles, but less controllable. Salt in the wounds has never felt so rewarding.
