Description

An experimental deck similar to the Militech Canto, reconstructed from internal cyberware components. Able to interface with the Blackwall Protocol, enabling a Blackwall Downlink in place of Overclock.

I was disappointed that if you sided with Songbird, you never get any of the Blackwall tech in the official story. Understandable, but this is my response to that.

It's a boosted version of the Militech Canto, including the Blackwall Gateway quickhack and such, with a custom texture and a scripted replacement for the normal Overclock that puts you in a state similar to that scene in the Killing Moon where you get to be a Blackwall Proxy. So as to not break immersion, it's included in Songbird's cache, and I think it works fairly well with the lore.

ITEM COMMAND IF YOU JUST WANT IT

Installation

Vortex install should work fine. Otherwise, unzip the file into the game folder like usual.

FAQ

Why is my game is crashing when I use the ability around a lot of cars?

The car explosion effect is very memory intensive and it can use up your vram quite quickly. Try reducing the vehicle effect radius in the settings menu. Further testing shows that even within vram usage limits, vanilla car quickhacks just crash the game sometimes.

How do I end the effect?

If your in-game RAM regen is super high and you have the "Game Mechanics" toggle on in settings, your RAM will regenerate faster than the ability uses it. You can either tweak the RAM drain rate in the settings menu or turn "Game Mechanics" off, which will allow you to toggle the ability on and off.

How do I get the item?

You can either paste the CET item code into the console, like any clothing mod, or wait until the end of Phantom Liberty if you side with Songbird.

X thing that you said was part of the item isn't showing up?

Install the dependencies. All of them.

Main features

Blackwall Downlink - Now with voicelines (video is no longer fully accurate)

L_iDhirRwYQ

An effects/ability sequence hooked into the Overclock cyberware ability system. Slows time and allows you to execute Blackwall Pulses like in the Killing Moon quest, but with a little extra power. The Blackwall pulses do the following:

  • []Kill line of sight nearby enemy NPCs with Blackwall effects[/]

    []Blow up nearby vehicles[/]

[]Hack open doors in line of sight (not tested during quest sequences, may cause odd behavior)[/]

[]Glitch out TVs with custom blackwall textures[/]

    []Disable speakers[/]

[]Cause a secondary electric pulse from radios[/]

[]Cause cameras and turrets connected to the closest network to become friendly and attack hostiles for you[/]

[]Hack mechs and robots connected to the closest network to become friendly[/]

[]Spawn Blackwall residue and sparks around devices in the area[/]

There are two modes for the Blackwall Downlink (these can be changed from the settings menu)

  • []Gameplay Mechanics: Once triggered, the sequence CANNOT be ended by choice. Constantly drains RAM and then health (like Overclock) until you have only 30 HP left. At this point, the sequence will end. This is the "balanced" mode.[/]

[]No Gameplay Mechanics: Sequence is the same, but there's no health/RAM drain, you can toggle it on and off.[/]

Quickhacks - Look in the image gallery

All quickhacks are instant and free while using the deck. Blackwall effects (screen and world) will trigger on quickhack actions performed on devices. If you would like the quickhacks to not be instant or not be free, you can edit songsdeck.yaml.

Note: Camera/turret hacks will disconnect the hacked device from the network, but they should turn friendly on release control
  • []Added Door quickhacks: Hack open any powered door (or gate) using ./prtcl2044(negateLock)[/]

[]Added Camera/Turret quickhacks: Take control of any powered camera or turret using ./prtcl2044(hijack)[/]
