📋 About This Mod
Shine UI - A growing series of HUD Painter presets/themes. I'm not planning on taking any requests, sorry - it's easy enough to do yourself though!
UPCOMING
Cynosure Shine
A preset in the Cynosure computer theme since I like that aesthetic. This preset will not be made with No More Menu Backgrounds exclusively, as I am trying to make truly unique HUD experiences going forward. Expect font changes, menu replacers and more. Never ended up with anything I was happy with, so I'll leave the page here for now, but I don't plan to add anymore presets for now.
RELEASED
Pups' Shine
A by-hand merge/remake of the BARGHEST and Johnny HUDs. I wanted to try to make something that merges the two and fills in what those don't show (RAM, menu screens, etc). I also used this one alongside TheManualEnhancer's No More Menu Backgrounds exclusively.
Fluorescent Shine
A "fluorescent" white/light blue theme that I've been using alongside TheManualEnhancer's No More Menu Backgrounds. I haven't tried without their mod.
California Shine
An orange/pastel orange theme I used for a previous playthrough. This preset was also made whilst I was using TheManualEnhancer's No More Menu Backgrounds, but it should work without it. None of these presets touch Johnny's HUD colours as I don't mind those. Feel free to use this as a base, modify and re-upload it, etc - just let people know you used it as the base.

✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Solid community backing with 118 endorsements and over 10k downloads.
- Active development—last updated August 2024, so it's fresh.
- Easy to use if you're already familiar with HUD Painter.
⚠️ Cons
- Requires HUD Painter framework to work—not standalone.
- Limited to visual presets; no gameplay changes.
- Only 118 endorsements compared to downloads, so it's a niche pick.
For Fallout 4 players who want to personalize their HUD without diving into complex mod setups. If you're into UI tweaks and already use HUD Painter, this is a must-try. Skip if you're looking for gameplay overhauls—this is purely cosmetic.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Make sure you have HUD Painter installed first, or these presets won't load.
- Use a mod manager like Vortex to install and manage presets easily.
- Preview presets in-game via the HUD Painter menu to see which theme fits your style.
