📋 About This Mod
As a player who enjoys Nomad playthroughs the most, I’d been thinking for a long time that the game was missing a residency/garage made specifically for a Nomad V — built with love. So I set out to make one. Bring your chumbas and take a breather in the Badlands ghost town. 🏜️
(And don’t forget submitting your pictures around here or tagging me, would love to see what you do with the place!)

Important stuff
- []Native interactions around the place: Stash, Radio, Computer, Sleep, Wardrobe, Shower, Edit appearance (bathroom mirror), Meditating, Scoring basketball, Sitting on both sofas (living room and patio), resting in the rooftop beach chair and several smart frames. About the mirror: The usual option of looking into the mirror messed the light of the room, so I decided to cut to the chase and just adding the appearance edit function.[/]
- []The lighting inside the rooms at night is intentionally kept very dim. I chose to leave it that way to give the space a cozy atmosphere and to let you freely play around with Photomode or AMM lighting tools.[/]
- []The area sound/illumination boundaries were set as a closed space. Yet, I did not configure the location as a safe spot. If you use mods like New Game Plus - Native or any other that makes enemy gangs hunt you down, they will be able to enter the house, and you’ll have to defeat them to get rid of them. I left it like this for roleplay reasons and because honestly? It’s more fun that way.[/]
- []Posters: There are two versions of this mod included in the files, and the only difference between them is the posters. The first one uses the game’s base posters. The second one uses posters from the mod “Alternate Posters” by Apostian. This mod is fantastic, but it replaces all posters in the base game, which is why I decided to make a version that preserves the originals for anyone who doesn’t want to overwrite them. (Both versions works well with ot without it, play around and see which one you like the most).
Troubleshooting / Possible Issues:
-
[]You might see some bits of grass clipping through the floor here and there, but it’s minimal.[/]
[]Rain comes through the openings in the roof window when using Photomode or Mods that alter the weather in the area. Normally this is not a big problem cause it never rains in Rocky Ridge, but you'll see that if you use one of said mods. [/]
- []You’ll need to put in a bit of work to replace the photos in the Smart Frames, but it’s not too complicated, and the final result is worth it.[/]
