You've definitely heard that annoying sound.
A bit of history for those who came after patch 2. 0 and memories for those who came before. Before the developers taught the police to chase us in cars in patch 2. 0, the police simply spawned and at a level above three stars, the city's turrets were activated to eliminate us.
After patch 2. 0, these turrets were deactivated, but the developers did not remove them completely. They could be ignored, but when they spawn, they make a sound. And this sound can be heard EVERYWHERE in the city because these turrets are just everywhere.
I removed most of them(Over 1000 turrets). Not sure if all, but most.

I also recommend Sound SFX Fixes to solve the loud sound when turrets and ladders spawn. Although I removed most of the turrets, some may have been missed.
