📋 About This Mod
Decide your destination with a dice roll.
It's the road that matters, not the destination. - V
If you're like me, you've played this game a few times and somehow fall into the same routine of doing the same things in the same order. Well, now there's a fix for that.
With this mod, every time you open the map, a random map pin will be set as your destination. Now you can randomize the order you do things in and enjoy your map wanderings!
How to use:
This mod requires redscript. In addition, unless you want to run with the default settings, then you also need Mod Settings. Mod Settings itself requires ArchiveXL and RED4ext.
Once all that's installed, go into Mod Settings and adjust your settings.
Every pin type can be enabled or disabled as eligible for being randomly selected. You can also set the maximum distance (in meters) that a pin will be considered eligible to be selected.
By default, the mod will run automatically every time you open the map. To open the map without running the mod, press and hold the map button. When you let go, the map will open, but not change what is currently being tracked.
To reverse this behavior, turn on the Never unless held setting (it defaults to off, which means always unless held). When this setting is on, the rules are reversed: The mod will never run when you open the map, unless you open the map by pressing and holding the map button.
To review, if the setting is OFF (the default):
-
[]Always Unless Held
[
]Mod runs by default no matter how you get to the map[]Only way to not run the mod is to hold the button before opening the map.
-
[]Never Unless Held
[]Mod won't run when you open the map normally
[]Only way to get the mod to run is to hold the button before opening the map.
The next setting is the "Track Two Things" setting. If you want to track both a primary and secondary type of pin each time you open the map, enable this setting. Otherwise only one pin will be tracked each time you open the map.
Whatever you are currently tracking when you open the map is ineligible to be randomly selected. The mod will always select something else (assuming something qualifies). If you want what you're currently tracking to have a chance to be selected, untrack it before opening the map.
The final setting to mention is the Force Vehicle Contract setting. Since vehicle contracts only appear on the map when you're nearby, and only one appears at a time, this means the chance of the mod ever picking a vehicle contract is very l
