This is a carefully tuned INI configuration file designed specifically to improve the performance of standard Ray Tracing features (Reflections, AO, Lighting, Shadows) on modern AMD Radeon architectures – RDNA 2 (RX 6000 series), RDNA 3 (RX 7000 series), and the latest RDNA 4 (RX 9000 series)!

Ray Tracing is demanding technology, especially on earlier architectures.

This preset aggressively utilizes performance-saving techniques like optimized half-resolution tracing, moderated ray distances, and smart sampling counts, tailored to leverage AMD hardware more effectively and deliver a smoother, more enjoyable Ray Tracing experience compared to default game settings.

• []Broad AMD Optimization: Settings balanced for performance and quality across modern AMD GPUs (RX 6000, RX 7000, & RX 9000 series).

  []Standard RT Focus: Optimizes Ray Traced Reflections, Ambient Occlusion, Global Illumination (RT Lighting Medium/High), and Shadows for better playability.

  []Performance First (for RT): Employs techniques like explicit Half-Resolution Tracing for demanding effects – critical for providing significant FPS gains on AMD hardware, especially RDNA 2.

  []Balanced Quality: Aims to retain good visual impact from RT effects while reducing the biggest performance bottlenecks on Radeon cards.

  []Optimized Ray Distances: Uses moderate tracing radii to manage GPU workload efficiently across generations.

  []VRAM Aware: Includes slightly increased RT memory buffers potentially beneficial for cards with 16GB+ VRAM, with clear notes for users on lower-VRAM cards (common on RDNA 2 mid-range) to reduce these for stability.

  []Includes RTXDI Toggle: Enables NVIDIA's Real-Time Direct Illumination (works via DX12) for improved local light sources (performance impact should be tested by user on their specific card/driver).

  []Path Tracing Ready (Highly Experimental): Includes relevant Path Tracing settings, but requires manual tweaking (BounceNumber=1) for any chance of acceptable performance in RT: Overdrive mode, especially on RDNA 2/3. This preset does NOT optimize specifically for Path Tracing by default.
