📋 About This Mod

This is a workaround for the Netrunner 60 skill progression bonus which enables hacking enemies through walls while using Overclock. It is not a complete bug fix for the underlying issue (which has been in the game since 2. 0).

The player must use ocular system cyberware which highlights enemies based on proximity for this to work.

This issue has not been fixed with the 2. 1 patch.

The mod does not require an update.

Installation

Extract the zip file into the Cyberpunk 2077 installation folder.

This mod requires redscript and TweakXL.

Compatibility

This fix is compatible with Fix Skill Progression Rewards Not Applying.

Should be compatible with custom cyberdeck mods.

Technical Details

What you need to know:

  • []While the player is in the Overclock state, they gain a modifier which causes "CanPlayerScanThroughWalls" to evaluate as true.

[]While the player is in the Overclock state, all nearby enemies are meant to be marked with a special Ping status effect.

[]The game checks for any puppets (enemies, NPCs) that have any status effects with the "Int60_Ping" gameplay tag.

[]If the player can scan through walls, enemies marked with the special tag are hackable.

It appears as though this special status effect is failing to propagate onto nearby enemies. This bug also impacts the on-dismemberment debuff Strength perk. In my testing, neither of these effects apply correctly and I haven't been able to fix this with scripting alone.

Instead, this mod adds a workaround that is similar to the intended behaviour.

    • []Certain optics cyberware will reveal (highlight) enemies to the player based on proximity (up to 19. 5m depending on your cyberware).

[]If the player is in the Overclock state, any highlighted enemies the player scans are simply marked as hackable through walls.

Unfortunately, the limitation here is that the player must use ocular cyberware that highlights targets based on proximity.

This mod does also fix a few incidental bugs:

      • []It is no longer possible to permanently give yourself the "can scan through walls" behaviour by just saving while Overclock is active.

[]Construction of the PropagateEffector was not referencing the correct application target. Applying the effect still doesn't work.

🤖 AI-enhanced — based on mod data

This gameplay mod for Cyberpunk 2077 lets you hack revealed enemies through walls when Overclock is active with the Netrunner 60 skill bonus, serving as a workaround for a bug. It's a niche fix for players who rely on Overclock and want to maintain their hacking flow without line-of-sight restrictions.

✨ Key Features

Allows hacking revealed enemies through walls when Overclock is active with the Netrunner 60 skill progression bonus.
Acts as a workaround for a bug until a later patch fixes it properly.

📊 Pros & Cons

✅ Pros

  • Solves a frustrating bug for Overclock users (189 endorsements show it's appreciated).
  • Keeps your hacking gameplay smooth without waiting for an official patch.
  • Lightweight and focused—does exactly what it says with no bloat.

⚠️ Cons

  • Only works with the Netrunner 60 skill bonus, so it's useless if you haven't invested that far.
  • Author notes it's a temporary workaround—might become obsolete once the official fix lands.
🎯 Is This For You?
For Cyberpunk 2077 netrunner builds that max out Overclock and hate being blocked by walls. If you're a stealth hacker who wants to keep the flow going, this is a must-have. Skip it if you don't use Overclock or haven't reached Netrunner 60.

💡 Beginner Tips

  • Make sure you have the Netrunner 60 skill progression bonus active, or the mod won't do anything.
  • If you're using a mod manager, just drop the files in; manual install is fine too since it's a simple patch.
  • Keep an eye on the mod page for updates—once the official fix drops, you can uninstall this.
