📋 About This Mod
NPC Hair Color Catalogue
56 replacer options for hair colors, packaged modularly so you can choose which color to replace. All colors were taken straight out of the game files, and their original file names have been kept, so be aware that some of the colors from the DLC may constitute mild spoilers.
This does not, however, change the color of hair caps; their colors work differently. I may do an accompanying cap color mod someday, but as it stands choose the color you're replacing wisely, unless you want a wildly different cap color.
Other things that may change how colors appear: raytracing and pathtracing, mods that alter the hair materials such as Preem Hair, modded hairs (especially ports, if the modder used the source textures vs. adapting it for Cyberpunk's textures). Also be aware that some vanilla hairs actually use multiple colors for some appearances, so if only part of it is changing, you may need to swap out the other color as well.
All options are packed with custom icons for use with ICONIC - Character Creation Icon Framework, so you can see what's been replaced.
TO INSTALL:
-
[]Place 'JSILVERHVND_NPCHairColorCatalogue_##_.archive' in your Cyberpunk 2077/archive/pc/mod folder.
The '##' in the filename notes which hair color slot it's replacing. Only choose one file per slot.
-
[]Remove 'JSILVERHVND_NPCHairColorCatalogue_##_.archive' from your Cyberpunk 2077/archive/pc/mod folder.
Thanks, as always, to the creators behind the community's modding tools, and to Bulk Rename Utility for making it relatively painless to rename and pack 1,960 files jfc 💀💀💀💀💀 Thanks also to my friends over in the Cyberpunks server for encouragement and feedback, and especially wilxfyre, winks, and Anrui for taking such lovely pictures to showcase some of the neat hair colors in this mod 💜💛

✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Solid community trust with 195 endorsements and nearly 12k downloads
- Modular design means you can pick and choose exactly which colors to swap
- Custom icons integrate smoothly with the popular ICONIC mod
⚠️ Cons
- Last updated in November 2023 — may not be compatible with the latest Starfield patches
- Only adds hair colors, no other cosmetic changes — purely a color replacer
- Requires the ICONIC mod for the custom icons to work, adding an extra dependency
For Starfield players who want to stand out with unique hair colors that NPCs use, especially if you already use ICONIC. Skip if you're looking for more comprehensive appearance overhauls or if you prefer vanilla-only mods.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Use a mod manager like Vortex or MO2 to handle the modular files easily and avoid overwriting conflicts.
- Check the mod's file structure to see which colors are included and pick only the ones you want to replace.
- If you're not using ICONIC, the custom icons won't show, but the color replacers will still work.
