📋 About This Mod
Way too many NPCs have an unfortunate case of sealed nostrils. This makes them look like action figures instead of people. So I'm giving the citizens of Night City a sinus clearing by editing their face textures and adding actual nostrils.
This is a work in progress. The eventual goal is to cover every story and crowd NPC. For now this covers most of the story/quest NPCs, as well as many of the minor/enemy/crowd NPCs. Some of them needed it more than others.
This does not cover any of V's face textures.
Characters affected by this mod:
Alt Cunningham
Carol Emeka
Claire Russell
Dakota Smith
Elizabeth Peralez
Evelyn Parker
Gillean Jordan
Hanako Arasaka
Judy Alvarez
Maman Brigitte
Michiko Arasaka
Panam Palmer
Rogue (Young and Old)
Wakako Okada
Phantom Liberty:
President Myers
Stella Ramos
Many of the minor/enemy/crowd NPCs share various 'basehead' textures. I've edited most of those too. However, due to the way these textures are used on various head shapes, your mileage may vary.
Requirements
Phantom Liberty is a soft requirement as this should work without it since the DLC files would never get referenced. But better safe than sorry.
Conflicts
This will conflict with any mod that edits the face textures of the above characters and/or the 'basehead' textures.
Installation
Drop the contents of the .rar in into the root of your game folder, or install with MO2/Vortex.
A cosmetic mod that retextures select NPC faces to add nostrils, fixing the sealed nasal cavities present on many characters. With 249 endorsements and nearly 15k downloads, it's a niche but appreciated visual fix for players bothered by this detail.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Community-approved with 249 endorsements and nearly 15k downloads
- Fixes a weird visual detail that can break immersion
- Lightweight cosmetic mod, easy to install
⚠️ Cons
- Only affects some faces, not all NPCs
- No screenshots or detailed preview provided by author
- Last updated in 2023, may not be compatible with future game patches
For players who notice and are bothered by NPCs lacking nostrils. If you're a detail-oriented roleplayer or just want more realistic faces, this is a quick fix. Skip if you don't care about such minor visual details or want gameplay changes.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Check the mod's file structure to see if it replaces textures directly or uses a mod manager; if manual, just drop the files into your game's Data folder.
- If you're using a mod manager, enable this mod after other texture mods to ensure it overwrites correctly.
- Since it's a retexture, it should work with most setups, but always verify it doesn't conflict with other face texture overhauls.
