Night City Navigator

Night City Navigator is a project to create a real-world inspired map of Night City, built using primarily the same software behind openstreetmap.org. You can interact with the map independently of the game at nightcitynavigator.com.

Note that the map is fan-made, and is likely to contain errors.

This mod links that map to the game with a standalone application that shows your location on the map, and allows you to navigate in real time, like Google Maps.

This mod is composed of two parts:

• []The actual mod, which simply exports the player's location and orientation from the game over a web socket.

  []An external application that reads the exported player location, and overlays it on the map. It also connects to navigation and location search services.

  Because the application loads the map and navigation service directly from nightcitynavigator.com, it requires an internet connection to work.

  Installation/Setup

  • []Install RED4ext

    []Download the 'ncn-gpsmod-<version>.zip' file from NexusMods or GitHub.

    []Either install it using your mod manager, or extract it directly to your Cyberpunk 2077 game directory.

    []Download the 'nightcitynavigator-<version>-windows.zip' file, and extract is somewhere convenient (NOT your game directory). There is also a linux version available.

    Usage

    • [] From where you extracted the night city navigator files, run "nightcitynavigator.exe". This should open a terminal window when the server starts.

      []Open a web browser, and open http://localhost:3000.

    • Launch the game. Once the game starts, you should see the location update on the map.

      Opening the map on a different device

      By default, the server only allows access from the local machine (the one running the game and nightcitynavigator. It's possible to pass a command line argument to the server to allow connecting from anywhere on your local network.

      The simplest way to do this is to open a command prompt in the nightcitynavigator folder, and running:

      nightcitynavigator.exe 0. 0. 0. 0:3000

      where "0. 0. 0. 0" allows access from any IP address, and the "3000" is the port number to use.

      Alternate Applications
