📋 About This Mod
A black and white monochrome HUD Painter preset, inspired by the (currently outdated) Superior UI - Minimal White UI and World Map Recolor mod.
I whipped this up in an hour and a half, and have not tested it extremely thoroughly, so it's possible I've missed or messed up some UI elements. Did a full playthrough and don't think I missed much that I haven't mentioned below. But still let me know if you find anything wonky. ;)
To install either use Vortex (Vortex's fallback installer will work) or unzip the file in your Cyberpunk 2077 root folder.
MAKE SURE TO RESTART YOUR GAME AFTER SELECTING THE PRESET TO APPLY IT COMPLETELY.
To get the map to look the way it does in the screenshots, follow the settings below (in redscript Mod Settings):
Enable Custom Colors: ON
Contrast: 1. 10
Saturation: 0. 80
Buildings: Dark Blue
Building Edges: Gray
Roads: White
Road Borders: White
Metro Line: White
To have a black background in most Menus, install Preem Menu. I use the full blur option but I'm not sure if that matters.
I'd say Preem Menu is the only mod required to finish the look, but here's the rest of my UI mods in case you want to match it exactly:
[]Inventory Adjustments Hub (Does add some color\clutter to the UI so ymmv).
[]HUDitor
[]Limited HUD
[]Preem Scanner (I use the no vignette or tint version).
[]Quickhack Hotkeys
[]Extended Vehicle Call Menu
[]Kiroshi Opticals - Crowd Scanner
[]Map Street View
[]Dark Future (obviously not a UI mod but in case you're not sure where some of those extra bars\vehicle tokens in the UI are from).
[]Streamlined HUD (not installed in the above pictures, installed it mid-playthrough and someone asked about it after I posted a screenshot for something else)
A compact HUD Painter preset that applies a black and white monochrome theme to the UI, inspired by the outdated Superior UI mod. With 47 endorsements and 5,302 downloads, it's a niche choice for players wanting a clean, minimalist interface. Last updated in August 2025.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Simple and effective for a clean, minimalist look
- Lightweight preset that doesn't bloat your mod list
- Decent download count (5,302) shows some community interest
⚠️ Cons
- Only 47 endorsements — a small niche mod, so don't expect widespread support
- Requires HUD Painter as a dependency, which isn't included
For players who want a quick, no-fuss monochrome UI without fiddling with complex settings. If you're already using HUD Painter and like a stark, high-contrast look, this is a solid preset. Skip if you prefer colorful or customizable HUDs — this is strictly black and white.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Make sure HUD Painter is installed and up to date before adding this preset, or it won't work.
- Use HUD Painter's in-game interface to load the preset and preview it before applying.
- If you want to tweak the look, you can adjust the preset's color values in HUD Painter's settings.
