01 // WHY MCM EXISTS

I have to admit, I am not particularly happy with the current state of the game, but I could not be happier with the state of its modding community. The amount of talent, creativity, and sheer effort behind it is genuinely incredible and, without a doubt, breathtaking 🤗

One thing that has continued to bother me, however, is the number of separate configuration interfaces used by different mods.

Cyberpunk 2077 has several excellent settings frameworks, but once enough mods are installed, their options inevitably become scattered across Native Settings UI, Mod Settings, dedicated CET ImGui windows, custom overlays, separate hotkeys, and other interfaces.

Things have reached the point where installing ten mods can also mean installing a small mountain of supporting frameworks and remembering where every individual settings menu is hidden.

That is where the idea for a more traditional Mod Configuration Menu came from:
