Hey all. It occurred to me that I ought to unhide these old mods so people can get a glimpse of my history and the things I’ve done. That said, please know that NONE of these files are being updated directly, and won’t be going forward. Regardless, thanks again to everyone for the love you all have shown over the years! #1: 2075 Mizutani "Nara" Subcompact (5-door)

The Mizutani Nara is a textbook example of what happens when the engineers of a well-established car company decide that what they really want is to singlehandedly ruin the reputation and status of one their target market’s most well-established brands, not just by beating them at their own game, but by humiliating them so completely that they cease to even be considered a player.

Such was the case with Thorton, makers of the Galena; a slow, leaky, rust-prone econobox whose only two lasting claims to fame were that it accepted huge modifications with unparalleled ease, and that it could be kept on the road with nothing more than a hammer, a piece of string, and the occasional paper clip. But in base form, the Galena was nothing more than a stopgap; a purely A-to-B affair, with little else to offer the driver.

The Nara was to be more than that. So immensely reliable that the engine would never need to come out, yet so modular and easy to fix that if it ever did need to come out, any gonk with a basic set of tools could fix it themselves with a solid chance of success and keep it running for decades beyond its date of manufacture. The engineers hid extra mounting points in the suspension and the chassis, enabling owners to potentially swap in all sorts of aftermarket suspension upgrades and/or chassis conversions. The engine was modular enough to accept bolt-on parts like a champion, and with the robust electrical system being packed with more redundancies than an overly-bureaucratic government it could easily sustain mounted lighting systems, interior displays, and even entire CrystalDome conversions without a hitch.
