Kraken - a truly silent sniper rifle

The Kraken: an iconic Power Sniper rifle capable of penetrating through obstacles without damage reduction. Thanks to the room-temperature super conductor coils, the projectile already reaches Mach 1 in the barrel, where the built-in, computer assisted suppression system can be most effective to counter and muffle the sonic boom, resulting in silent shots. Unparalleled armor penetration! Shots cannot ricochet, and the additional coil system makes the weapon very heavy, decreasing jump height and preventing running, and dodging. The weapon comes with 2 mod slots, and it works with the Kiroshi "Sentry" optics making it straightforward to highlight and shoot enemies through obstacles.

UPDATE: Now it is available with silent sound, thank you zasshou for providing the sound! If you already have the original non-REDmod version installed, uninstall that first, before you install the alternative main file with the silent sound.

What does Truly Silent mean?

Snipers in Cyberpunk 2077 even if they are suppressed, are never entirely silent. If there are other enemies in closer proximity to the one we one-shot kill with a silent sniper rifle, those enemies will instantly initiate combat. This affects all silenced snipers (Overwatch in vanilla game, and all modded silent snipers as well), and this is what makes the sniper nest part of "You Know My Name" main quest in Phantom Liberty so finicky. That is not the case with The Kraken, this sniper is truly silent, if you kill an enemy (still has to be one-shot, or a 2nd shot in sandevistan has to follow very quickly), the bystander enemies will be alerted and start looking for you, but they won't initiate combat (just like it is the case with other non-Sniper silent weapons).

How to obtain?

Once neutralized, it can be looted from Zion Wylde at Uncommon (T2) quality. Alternatively can be bought from Herold Lowe (Petrochem Stadium weapon vendor, Phantom Liberty)
