📋 About This Mod
Ever wanted to explore more of the verticality in Japantown above the streets but you can't access it?
Well now you can!
This mod massively expands the vertical space in the north 3rd of Japantown by connecting several existing pedestrian walkways to the walkable main game world and adding new interior spaces in between and connecting it to the vanilla game world.
Everything here is made to be as immersive as possible so that it seamlessly meshes with the vanilla game world and hopefully you'll barely notice the difference.
Three raise pedestrian walkways have been made accessible. There are three main entrances to the new area. The main building block that connects all the walkways has a garage entrance with space for cars in the tall building with the AT AK sign on the north side, which I call the north AT AK building. The garage also has a backdoor on the other side of the building block.
The elevator goes up to several floors in the AT AK building:
- Penthouse (watch for future updates)
- Apartments (links to the high long walkway to the east)
- Apartments and market (links to the new plaza space in between the buildings)
- Garage and underpass (links to a tunnel connected to two walkways)
- Garage ground floor (with main and back entrance)
The high walkway to the east connects with an abandoned half finished flat with a doorway and stairs to the ground.
This includes an optional player apartment in the abandoned half finished flat in the north east corner of Japantown. Truly one of the worst and filthiest hideouts for when you have basically no money at all.
In the more south east end there is a plaza in between buildings and a corpo building with interior connecting it the main game world. The plaza connects to the large pedestrian walkway above the street.
The corpo building interior includes an elevator that goes to:
- Roof/ Palm Plaza access
- Back door
- Ground floor/corpo front entrance
- Basement and tunnel to poor area with two exits
All high rooftops now have collision so that AVs can land on them. Some lower roofs can also be reached through parkour.
The closest fast travel locations are:
Skyline & Salinas and Capitola St
Further updates for this mod are planned.
Around palm plaza I have plans to add more building interiors to reach high places.
Requirements

✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Solid community backing with 481 endorsements and over 66k downloads—clearly a mod people enjoy.
- Opens up new exploration routes in a dense urban area, giving you more reasons to wander off the beaten path.
- Connects to the vanilla world seamlessly, so it feels like part of the original map rather than a tacked-on addition.
⚠️ Cons
- Last updated in July 2026—if the game has had major patches since then, there's a chance of compatibility issues.
- It's a niche mod focused on one district; if you're not into exploring every nook and cranny, this might not add much for you.
For Cyberpunk 2077 explorers who love uncovering hidden areas and want more verticality in Night City. If you're a completionist who's already scoured every alley, this mod gives you fresh ground to cover. Skip if you prefer gameplay overhauls or don't care about map expansion.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Since the mod adds new interiors, keep an eye out for doors or ladders that weren't there before—they're your entry points.
- Use a mod manager like Vortex to handle installation and updates, especially if you're running other map mods.
- If you're on PC, make sure your game is up to date to avoid conflicts with the latest patches.
