📋 About This Mod

Updated for 2. 0 - 2. 1

What does this mod do?

This mod automatically toggles the minimap off if you are on foot and on if you are in a vehicle. It also moves the quest tracker to the corner of the screen while the minimap is turned off. Comes with an optional CET keybinding to toggle between Driving-Only, On, and Off. No configuration needed.

Also comes with an optional setting in Native Settings UI for HUDitor and other HUD mod compatibilty.

I found myself staring at the minimap too much when I was playing through the game, which is a shame because the world design is incredible. I find the game generally plays better without the minimap, the waypoint system covers navigation on-foot, but you need it enabled to drive anywhere properly. Making the minimap function as an in-vehicle GPS rather than a normal minimap is, I think, the ideal solution.

Also, I originally wrote this because I wanted to make the HUD look more like the original 2018 demo while still allowing me to drive properly, and the quest tracker movement was part of that.

It should be noted that while Limited HUD is a more configurable solution for limiting the UI and does have driving-only functionality without an in-game settings override, it doesn't move the quest tracker the way I needed it to, so that's why this exists. I would definitely recommend Limited HUD if you need something more configurable (both mods might also work together if you have some kind of use case for that, but I haven't tested it).

Note: if you are uninstalling the mod, go to the in-game settings after and toggle the minimap back on.

🤖 AI-enhanced — based on mod data

Immersive GPS is a UI mod for Cyberpunk 2077 that hides the minimap when on foot and shows it only while driving, with the quest tracker relocated to the corner. It includes an optional CET key binding and is updated for version 2.0 and later.

✨ Key Features

Minimap appears only while driving and hides when on foot.
Quest tracker moves to the corner of the screen.
Optional CET key binding for toggling the minimap.
Updated for Cyberpunk 2077 version 2.0 and later.

📊 Pros & Cons

✅ Pros

  • Cleaner screen when exploring on foot—no more distracting minimap.
  • Quest tracker in the corner keeps objectives visible without cluttering the center.
  • Updated for 2.0+, so it's ready for the latest game version.

⚠️ Cons

  • No screenshots or videos provided—you're flying blind on how it looks.
  • Requires CET for the key binding, so you'll need an extra mod if you want that feature.
  • Only 293 endorsements—it's a niche mod, so community feedback is limited.
🎯 Is This For You?
For Cyberpunk 2077 players who want a more immersive HUD, especially those who prefer exploring Night City without a minimap constantly on screen. Skip if you rely on the minimap while on foot or don't want to fiddle with extra mods like CET.
📦 Install:Easy· Under 1 minute

💡 Beginner Tips

  • If you use the CET key binding, make sure Cyber Engine Tweaks is installed and up to date—otherwise the key won't work.
  • Test the mod in different driving scenarios (car, bike) to see how the minimap behaves—it might take a moment to get used to.
  • Since it's a UI mod, it should be compatible with most other mods, but if you use other HUD mods, check for conflicts.
