The first time you access the Fixer//Net website from an apartment computer, you can choose how the bounty-hunting career interacts with V’s normal progression.
Full Career
The complete progression-overhaul experience. Highly recommended!
Requires a fresh level 1 character.
Fixer//Net Rank and character level advance together.
Normal XP-based leveling is disabled.
V gains levels by completing certification objectives and accepting promotions through Fixer//Net.
Recommended for players who want the entire playthrough structured around the bounty-hunting career.
Independent Career
By popular demand, this is your vanilla progression option for established saves.
Fixer//Net Rank advances independently from character level.
Normal XP, character leveling, and Street Cred progression remain active.
Certification still provides Fixer//Net ranks, stipends, objectives, status, and career unlocks without controlling V’s level.
Designed for established saves or players who want the bounty-hunting career alongside the normal game.
Both paths retain the core live-capture system, fixer deliveries, certification checklists, requests, Notorious Marks, career statistics, payouts, and Fixer//Net content. The primary difference is whether Fixer//Net replaces character leveling or operates as a separate career.

I Want Them Alive transforms non-lethal combat into a complete progression system built around subduing perpetrators, live-target transport, district fixer relationships, career advancement, and increasingly dangerous contracts.
The fixers of Night City have decided that the criminals of Night City are much more valuable when they can still answer questions. More information means better business.
To capitalize on that opportunity, they've launched Fixer//Net—an automated bounty certification network that rewards enterprising mercs for bringing targets in alive.
As Night City's newest recruit, V earns payouts by completing the
