📋 About This Mod

Hey chooms!

I created a similar mod for The Witcher 3 called Grammar of the Path. I'm a real stickler for text to be accurate. Very few things break immersion for me worse than typos, poor spacing, or similar errors. Imagine my surprise ( sarcasm ) when I began playing Cyberpunk and found that it contains many of the same types of errors that I fixed in W3. During my 100% playthrough and subsequent achievement and endings cleanup, I noticed numerous typos, spacing issues, formatting issues, inaccurate text, and other textual issues throughout the game. I decided to tackle this project in the same manner that I previously tackled W3.

The objective of this mod is to present accurate text in the game's journal, quest, shards, database, text messages, e-mails, and dialogues (subtitles) to greatly enhance player immersion.

One thing to note about the objective: many of the game's text is intentionally poorly written. This is primarily in the form of the e-mails and text messages and is done intentionally to make the text feel more authentic. For the most part, I avoided editing the content and context of these messages, only fixing very egregious occurrences where it looked to me like it was unintentional. Therefore, in those instances, if I made any edits at all, it was to the spacing and not the content itself.

  • []Typos -- words that are spelled incorrectly (e.g. "form" instead of "from").

[]Line Spacing -- hundreds of the game's journal entries, shard, and text messages do not properly space between paragraphs, resulting in a wall of text. This adds spacing to make them easier to read.

[]Formatting -- the game is incredibly inconsistent in use of italics, spacing between words, quotes, etc. This seeks to make the text entries consistent for the same look and feel.

[]Inaccuracies -- some of the entries in the journal are plain wrong and do not match what happens in the game. This subtly revises many of them to match events in the game.

[]Missing Text -- some text is missing, particularly around incomplete character names in the database. This adds in the missing text (example: Rogue is simply Rogue in the dialogue; this displays her name as Rogue Amendiares).

This is my roadmap and plans for this mod:

[]Version 1 consists almost entirely of the journal. The quest descriptions, database, shards, and text messages have all been included. (completed)

[*]Version 2 adds all of the e-mails found at random terminals throughout the game. (completed - special thanks to MerseyRockoff for finding all of the hidden shards throughout the game and helping to complet
