📋 About This Mod

A stylish cyberware-inspired FPS HUD with animated glitches, dynamic warnings and immersive performance monitoring.

GlitcFPS

Adds a stylish FPS HUD featuring animated glitch effects, dynamic system warnings and a clean interface that blends naturally with the game's visual style. Every element is designed to make performance monitoring feel more immersive, replacing a standard overlay with an interface that looks and behaves like it belongs in the game.

What's new

The FPS counter and glitch effects have been fully rewritten from scratch in REDscript - no longer dependent on Cyber Engine Tweaks. The original CET/Lua version is still available as a separate install option if you prefer the original's visuals.

Why REDscript instead of CET

● No longer requires CET as a dependency - works as a regular lightweight mod

● Uses the native in-game UI (ink) instead of per-frame overlay rendering - lower overhead

● System "failure" messages are shown through the built-in in-game notification window instead of a custom-made one

What was removed and why

3D world-space glitch text projection (AR effect). In the original it relied on per-frame rendering over the game scene - there's no equivalent tool for this in REDscript, no honest alternative was found, so the effect was not ported.

"Signal noise" particles. Also tied to the previous version's per-frame rendering; for a simple FPS counter this is excessive overhead for a purely decorative effect.

Separate multi-line pseudo-log window. Replaced with a single system message through the native in-game notification window - more compact, doesn't spawn extra windows.

Low-FPS audio alert. Removed as a separate decision - this is now a purely visual mod, with no sound.

What stayed and what was improved

● FPS counter with accurate real-frame counting (no more jumpy numbers)

● Light flicker at mild FPS drops, stronger glitch with slight shake at heavy drops - thresholds are configurable

● System "failure" messages at critically low FPS, with a configurable minimum gap between them (1-60 minutes)

● Counter position and scale are configurable, supports resolutions up to 4K

● Full localization: English and Russian
