📋 About This Mod
◈ FABRIC // WARDROBE RELATIONSHIP OVERLAY ◈
What does FABRIC do?
Night City runs on appearances. FABRIC tells you when a clothing item is already tied to one of your saved outfits—before you lose track of it.
It adds a small configurable marker to associated clothing cards, shows how many outfits use that item, and adds the matching outfit names to the normal item tooltip.
Why use it?
When your wardrobe reaches hundreds of pieces and dozens of saved looks, it becomes easy to forget which jacket, mask, or pair of boots belongs to which fit. FABRIC keeps those connections visible without changing how Equipment-EX manages your wardrobe.
◈ QUICK READ // FEATURES ◈
-
[]Outfit markers — See immediately when an item is used by one or more saved outfits.[/]
[]Usage count — The marker displays the number of outfits associated with that exact item.[/]
[]Tooltip intelligence — Hover an item to see an Outfits: list of every saved look that references it.[/]
[]Precise duplicate handling — Wardrobe, Backpack, and stash views mark only the actual owned item instance used by an outfit.[/]
[]Virtual Atelier awareness — Store cards recognize matching clothing records, even when the store does not expose an owned item instance.[/]
[]Configurable presentation — With Mod Settings installed, choose the marker icon, color, and card corner.[/]
[]Lightweight by design — FABRIC uses a cached association index; it does not scan every outfit while cards are rendering.[/]
◈ PRODUCT BRIEF // FABRIC SYSTEM ◈
PERSONAL WARDROBE MEMORY LAYER — ACTIVE
Your closet is not a pile of assets. It is a network of identities: the coat that completes your corpo look, the visor reserved for a specific run, the boots that belong to exactly one dangerous night out.
FABRIC maps those connections and surfaces them where they matter: on the item card in front of you.
No new wardrobe manager. No replacement UI. No background polling. Just a clean visual signal that says: this piece is already part of the pattern.

It's designed for players with large wardrobes using Equipment-EX, and it handles duplicates and Virtual Atelier stores precisely.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Fresh August 2026 update means active development and likely compatibility with the current game patch.
- Solves a real pain point for wardrobe hoarders — no more guessing which jacket belongs to which fit.
- Layers on top of Equipment-EX without changing how you manage outfits, so dual-mod users get seamless integration.
⚠️ Cons
- Very niche — only useful if you already use Equipment-EX and save multiple outfits; otherwise it's just extra UI clutter.
- Requires Mod Settings for full marker customization, adding another dependency for users who want to tweak appearance.
- Small community adoption so far (7 endorsements), so troubleshooting help may be limited if issues arise.
For Cyberpunk 2077 fashionistas who run dozens of saved outfits through Equipment-EX and lose track of which clothing piece belongs to which look. Good for completionists who want to manage their wardrobe without manual note-taking. Skip if you don't use Equipment-EX or only keep a few outfits — the overlay adds visual clutter for minimal benefit.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Install Equipment-EX first and ensure your saved outfits are loaded so FABRIC can build the association index.
- If you install Mod Settings, open its menu after launching the game to set marker icon, color, and corner before browsing your stash.
- Check Virtual Atelier store cards carefully — the marker appears based on matching records, not owned instances, so you can avoid buying duplicates.
