📋 About This Mod

2018 Roads and Sidewalks Description

This is a legacy standalone release of my E3 2018 Roads and Sidewalks that I have used in both my lighting mods so far. All of these textures and meshes dont require any other core mods to work, and is plug and play to enhance really any lighting mod. These roads have been made to be more of a neutral grey, like the early 2018 and 2019 demos of Cyberpunk. By being more of a neutral color, it really helps to enhance the sun's natural lighting colors that shine down on the ground throughout the day. Whether the sun is altered with a light mod, or even with vanilla. The color will end up being alot more prominent in alot of areas. They also allow shadow colors to appear more prominent as well, with a range of more demo like soft and hard colors throughout the day.

The roads reflections thresholds have also been edited to reflect as much of the sun off the ground as possible. This really helps achieve the look of the early Cyberpunk demos, by having the sun light bouncing off the ground be more intense, and help spread the color more consistently around an area. This can vary depending on light mods, but should be an improvement in most cases. The roads are even a visual aid at night and during cloudy/rainy weathers as well. By not being the traditional dark, flat,  asphault look of vanilla. The Nights can now look a bit cooler with reflected moon lighting as well on the lighter roads. And even aid with some over dark exposure issues to help keep dark areas slightly better illuminated. By aiding the edge of screen exposure compensation settings. With the roads having edited texture roughness, rain on the roads can appear more natural with more pooling up areas, and more natural looking ranges of detail of the reflections. Instead of all looking like one giant waxed shiny floor. And during Cloudy weathers, the grey of the roads can really help enhance the look of when the sun is not as present due to the clouds. And provided a better looking shade look.

Mod Incompatibilities

There is really only one type of mod that these will be incompatible with and that is other texture mods that edit the same road, sidewalk, or marking textures that this mod edits. And is obviously not needed for my Project Hydra Lighting Mod

What the mod doesnt edit.

The mod doesnt edit all of the sidewalks or even all of the roads. It does edit a majority of them. But due to some incompatibility issues with things like the games built in detail proxies etc. Not everything can be fully edited in the traditional sense without other core mods for a dependency. Therefore things have bee

💡 Beginner Tips

  • Since this is a legacy mod, check if your game version matches the E3VR LM era before installing.
  • If you're unsure about manual installation, use a mod manager to avoid overwriting files.
  • The optional sidewalk is separate—only install it if you want that change.
