📋 About This Mod
This mod sets up new appearance entries for Judy, Panam, Kerry and River, while providing a framework for modders to create appearances that will be used in certain moments of the story. Now you can create appearance mods that can be used by the characters in specific quests without replacing the vanilla appearances in other moments.
The main file alone provides the framework, meaning the files with the setup and the new appearance entries, but with vanilla clothes and components. The optional files will provide appearances created by me, they need to have higher priority than the main file, as they naturally conflict.
Important
-
[]Mod is in Beta. I've tested many quests, but not all the permutations. Bugs are expected and I apologize in advance
[
]Installing mid playthrough will not result in change of appearances if the NPC has already spawned. It will change appearance the next time the quest signal goes through the deactivation and reactivation of the NPC.[]Some holocalls were changed, but not all. It's also not really clear to me how they work in lore and thus if they should actually be changed.
Known Issues
-
[]Sometimes, on save reload, an NPC will spawn with the incorrect appearance, such as Judy in the Nomad ending (although in this case it is for technical reasons)
[]Panam's neck exibits a glitchy behaviour in a couple of scenes, stretching out for the duration of some frames before returning to normal.
Compatibility
The mod is incompatible with other mods that have changed the entity files (.ent) of the NPCs. However mods that change meshes, textures or the .apps file are fully compatible.
For Modders:
You can use the files
Each character has multiple .app files based on the group of quests the character appear. So Judy would have an app file for q004 and another for q105. So you can made and publish modification to an appearance in a specific quests without creating compatibility issues with mods that change other apperances for the same character.
The appearances are described below.
