In the year 2071, a young Naomie Xaris had a problem: how to properly surprise her oldest friend and brother Jamie “JV” Cross, and thank him for his help in setting up her new tuning business. The answer? A faded old poster he’d had in his bedroom since back when they were in high school.

------------- The History of DeLorean Motor Company. ------

Before their meteoric rise through the early 21st century with their incredibly successful “Alpha” series of cars, DeLorean Motor Company began with a revolutionary sports car. Simply the “DeLorean” at the time (and retroactively called the DMC-12), the car’s original claim to fame began when the company’s ambitious founder brokered a deal with then-struggling automaker Porsche, earning the rights to place the 928-S’s uptuned V8 engine right at the heart of a gleaming silver sports car. From there, the company exploded into the limelight, producing a line of innovative, advanced cars through the turn of the century and all the way up to their acquisition by Quadra in 2032.

Naomie hit the ground running, searching high and low, following every possible lead she could chase, until finally she struck gold: an intact chassis and shell, both in solid condition. Only issue was: none of the other parts were anywhere to be found.

Three years later, after following design documents, blueprints, repair manuals, and more to effectively custom-fabricate every single missing piece herself … she presented the finished car to the only man she’d ever loved; a man she’d seen as a brother for longer than she cared to think about.

The craftsmanship didn’t stop there.

In the shadows of DocWorks Automotive, while Naomie worked (more) on the Arcadia with the same stubborn precision, Jamie was building something far stranger.
