    Description:

    In Cyberpunk 2077 we’re supposed to live in a harsh future world ruled by ruthless corporations and corrupt administration knowing no other God but Money. For anything and everything - you pay. And if they could make you pay for the air you breathe - they would.

    Our goal with this mod is to bring that harsh atmosphere into the game. Patch 2. 0 did good reworking many of the badly done systems (skills, cops, etc), but in our opinion it’s not enough.

    TANSTAAFL consists of several parts that can be downloaded and used independently, but we do recommend installing them together for the full experience.

    Part 1 of the mod introduces the Vehicle Insurance system into the game. We have tweaked the numbers taking into account other parts and added phone integration as well as a small surprise for all the careful drivers out there.

    Part 2 brings in the Life Insurance system. Saving is no longer an option you’ve got everywhere and dying has its price now. If you’ve got an active subscription, you will be revived by Trauma Team medics upon your death. Our teams are generous and will still revive you even with subscription expired, but in that case the safety of your personal belongings is not guaranteed. New update overhauls the initial emergency beacons mechanic: you can now request an emergency biometric data backup from your phone, but it costs money and loading is not free either - when you restore from an emergency backup, it’s treated like a resurrection with all the corresponding costs and penalties applied.

    Part 3 adds the damage system to cyberware. Each time you engage in combat and suffer damage or when you use your cyberdeck to upload hacks, you’ve got a chance to have your precious chrome damaged. The chance depends on how hard you’ve been hit (how costly was the hack you uploaded), how much armor you’ve got and which tier is
