Curly Hair Project - Modded Hairs and Modding Resources

There are a variety of hairstyles available for V, both by default and via the many mods that you can download, but there are still very few options out there if you'd like your V to have a hair texture other than pin-straight. This mod/resource aims to correct that to some degree, or at least to take some of the first steps in that direction. It is by no means a perfect solution, but I hope it can be useful to some of you!

So what exactly is this? How does it work as a mod?

This upload allows you, as a mod user, to take any of the default Character Creator hairs for V that usually use the straight hair textures and instead apply curly/wavy textures to the hair(s) of your choice. The project consists of three types of files:

• []00_CurlyTex_Core.archive - This is the core framework needed for the mod to work. You must have this file installed.

  .[]00_CurlyTex_NLDTextures_V1.archive - This file contains my version of the curly textures for the mod. In the future, I may release other versions of these textures, or other mod authors may release their own replacement versions of these textures. You must have a set of textures installed in order for the mod to work properly.

  .[]NLD_Curls__Hair_.archive - These files are the ones that determine which hairs the mod's textures actually get applied to. The indicates whether the hair is for fem-framed or masc-framed V. The indicates which slot the hair originally occupied in the character creator. The indicates which slot the modified hair will occupy. So, for example, NLD_Curls_F_Hair01_01.archive will apply the curly/wavy textures to fem-framed V's Hair 01, and will replace the same hair in the character creator's Hair 01 slot. You must have at least one of these type of files installed in order for this mod to have any effect; you may have as many of these files installed at once as you would like.

  Installation: 

  • []Download: 00_CurlyTex_Core.archive, 00_CurlyTex_NLDTextures_V1.archive (or some other texture file for this mod), and any NLD_Curls__Hair_.archive files that you desire (but at least one).

    []Drop the .archive files into your mod folder. It should be located at Cyberpunk 2077/archive/pc/mod . If you don't have this folder, you can just go ahead and make one.
