CP77 Automated Manual Mod Manager (AMMM)

Cyberpunk 2077 Mod Manager. A simple, lightweight mod manager built in Python for Cyberpunk 2077.

WHY THIS EXISTS:

This tool was created after experiencing issues with mods that wouldn't work properly when installed through Vortex but ran perfectly fine when manually installed. Rather than manually extracting zip files every time, this tool automates the process while adding useful features like update checking, mod profiles, and modlist sharing.

- Auto-detects Cyberpunk 2077 installations (Steam, GOG, Epic Games)

- Displays game version in the main menu

- Installs mods from .zip, . 7z, and .rar archives (no manual extraction needed)

- Enable/Disable mods without uninstalling (great for troubleshooting)

- Checks for mod updates via Nexus Mods API

- Mod profiles for switching between different configurations

- Export/Import modlists to share your mod setup with friends

- Nexus Premium support for direct mod downloads

- Conflict detection warns when mods overwrite the same files

- Launch game directly (bypasses REDlauncher)

HOW TO USE:

1. Download and extract the mod manager

2. IMPORTANT: Rename "run.txt" to "run.bat" (Windows blocks .bat files in downloads)

3. Download mods from Nexus Mods (keep them as .zip, . 7z, or .rar files)

4. Place the archives in the "mods" folder

5. Run "run.bat" to start the manager

6. Select "Manage Mods" and choose which mods to install

The manager automatically parses Nexus download filenames to extract mod IDs for update checking. No configuration needed—just download, drop in the folder, and install.

ENABLE/DISABLE MODS:

Quickly toggle mods on/off without uninstalling them. Disabled mods have their files renamed with .disabled extension—nothing is deleted. Perfect for troubleshooting which mod is causing issues.

SHARING MODLISTS:

Share your exact mod setup with friends:

- Create a profile with your mods

- Export it as a modlist file

- Share the *_modlist.json file

- Others can import it and download all the same mods

REQUIREMENTS:

- Windows 10/11

- Python 3. 10+ (installer prompts if missing)

- Cyberpunk 2077 installed via Steam, GOG, or Epic Games

- 7-Zip (optional, auto-installs via winget for .rar support)

The first time you run the manager, it will automatically install required Python packages (requests, pefile, py7zr). Just click "Y" when prompted.

For update checking and modlist imports, add your free Nexus Mods API key in Settings.
