📋 About This Mod
This mod is basically a skin edit for Male and Female V, adding that burnt/corrupted effect or something around Songbird's eyes that I think is really cool.
This is my first mod where I've actually messed with files, so there may be some incompatibility, but as far as I've tested it, it should work perfectly and doesn't require Phantom Liberty to work, since it only changes files from the base game. I've also added an optional mod that adjusts the texture of the Cyberware 01, 02, and 04 so that they have a "burnt" look to match the eye effects and look more natural, since the vanilla ones looked weird
Incompatible with: Universal Skin Tones and Pale Skin
Installation
1- Extract the files
2- Choose which complex (skin) you want, (1-5 correspond to the skin options in character creation)
3- Drop the archive folder into your Cyberpunk directory (SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Cyberpunk 2077). Same for the Cyberware_File
Delete "Corrupeted_Sonbird_Eyes_FemV.archive" , "Corrupeted_Sonbird_Eyes_FemV.archive" , "Corrupeted_Sonbird_Eyes_CyberwareFile.archive" in your mod folder (SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Cyberpunk 2077/archive/pc/mod)
This small cosmetic mod adds burned marks around V's eyes for both male and female V in Cyberpunk 2077. With 95 endorsements and 9,096 downloads, it's a niche appearance tweak for players wanting a more corrupted look. Last updated September 2024, it remains a simple, lightweight addition.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Simple and effective—does exactly what it says, no bloat
- Works for both male and female V, so you can use it on any playthrough
- Decent download count (9,096) shows it's got a following
⚠️ Cons
- Very niche—only affects eye area, so if you want more extensive corruption, this won't cut it
- No screenshots or detailed previews in the description, so you're flying blind until you try it
- Last updated in September 2024—might not be compatible with future patches, though it's likely fine for now
For Cyberpunk 2077 players who want a subtle, gritty detail to make their V look more battle-worn or corrupted. If you're into role-playing a character with a dark past, this adds a nice touch. Skip if you're looking for major appearance overhauls—this is a tiny detail mod.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Since it's a complexion mod, make sure you select the right option in the character creator—it should appear under the complexion or skin details section.
- If you're using other appearance mods, check load order to avoid conflicts—place this one after any major body or skin texture mods.
- Test on a new game or in the character creator first to see if it looks right before committing to a playthrough.
