📋 About This Mod
This mod makes the following:
-
[]Disables automatic weapons lowering, holstering and raising;[/]
[]Now you can do these actions manually:[/]
When the weapon is lowered press the "Fire" or "Aiming" key to raise it;
When the weapon is holstered press the "Fire" or "Holster/Unholster" key to draw and raise it.
The mod requires RedScript installed. It works with 2. 1 game version, for other versions the work is not guaranteed.
Installation.
1. Find and delete the DontAutoHolsterWeapons.reds file if you have installed previous version of this mod called as "Don't auto holster weapons".
2. Extract the content of downloaded archive into your game folder (ex. E:\Games\Cyberpunk 2077).
Note. The mod affects firearms only. For melee weapons it will be done in next versions, maybe.

✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Gives you full control over when your weapon is drawn or stowed—no more auto-holstering mid-fight.
- Simple, focused mod that does exactly what it says without bloat.
- Decent community support (163 endorsements) and still updated as of late 2023.
⚠️ Cons
- No documentation on which keys are used or how to rebind them—you'll have to figure it out in-game.
- May conflict with other mods that alter weapon draw/holster animations or behaviors.
For Skyrim players who are tired of the game auto-holstering their weapon at awkward moments and want manual control. If you're a roleplayer or immersion enthusiast who likes to decide when to draw steel, this is for you. Skip if you're fine with the default behavior or don't want to fiddle with extra keybinds.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Make sure you have SKSE64 installed and launch the game through its loader, or the mod won't work.
- Check the mod's forum posts or comments for keybind instructions—the description doesn't specify them.
- Test the mod in a safe area first to see how the manual controls feel before heading into combat.
