📋 About This Mod
Addition and rework, to player Armor system
Overview
This mod adds few new cyberware and healing item, that are centered around Armor and repairing it. There are 4 main presets, that configure mod and armor system in different ways, and most of the options are avialable to tweak in mods settings(make sure to restart the game, or at least load save, after changing the settings).
Presets are only enabled, when advanced settings is turned off. If you want to just tweak existing preset, you have to recreate it manualy in settings.
Vanila Plus
This preset is for players, that don't want this mod to affect gameplay too much. To interact with this mod on this preset, you need to install new 'Heavy Armor Plating' cyberware. That cyberware will enable main feature of this mod 'Shield Points', which act as another Health Bar, on top of existing one. This only regenerate out of combat, so it's purpose is to give you a bit more toughness at the start of the fight. There are few other cyberware that can allow you to regenerate it, mid combat too.
Health Bar:
For this preset, shield points are acting as a resource, player has to manage in combat. You get some shield points from armor baseline, but they only reduce physical damage you take to your health, and only by 60%. Cyberware such as 'Reactive Armor' and 'Trauma Response Nano Matrix', as well as new 'Repair Injector' can be used, to help manage your shield points mid combat. To not make it too overpowered, the base effectivness of Player armor, is reduced by 30%, so you will take more damage without shield points!
Shield points in this mode will also slowly regenerate in combat.
Health Bar:
Shield points act as another Health Bar, the same as in Vanila Plus, and they are also, baseline (based on player armor). There is no base regeneration though, and player has to go to Sleep or Repair armor with Cyberware.
This preset, treats Shield Points, more as an armor Integrity. Instead of having extra health bar, you can see integrity of your armor, and this will affect how much player armor reduces damage. Damage reduction from Vanila Armor is increased, so you can build your character very tanky, but as you fight your armor gets damaged, and your damage reduction from it can fall to 0%. To repair, you have to pay hefty sum to your ripperdoc, use crafting components to repair your armor with Tool Hand, or use 'Trauma Response Nano Matrix' to repair for free (this one is only accessable later in the game).
