Another Underwear Remover

The mod here accomplishes this with a patch executable.  I wasn't entirely sure what that executable did and in the posts, IndieKickz said to just replace a string in one of the game files

I couldn't find a free text editor I liked that could handle an 8gb file, so I wrote my own

(1. 3 knocked it down to just under 3gb)

This utility is meant to be a generic replace tool for arbitrarily large files.  There is nothing specific to cyberpunk 2077

edit: I've seen HxD mentioned a few times, so maybe you'd prefer using that?

Limitations

Be sure to have reasonable expectations about what this does.  It simply removes the underwear while playing (first/third person view, camera mode)

From what I gather, they use a generic character model, so things like pubic hair won't be there.  Also the penis won't be added in

So be sure to read comments, investigate a bit to be sure this is what you're looking for

Instructions

Download the zip file, then unzip to any folder

Make sure you run the exe from an unzipped folder and not from inside the zip file

If it complains about not having .net core 3. 1 installed, then install that first.  I'm guessing that at some point, microsoft will include it in a windows update (maybe they already did?).  Hopefully, because that page is a mess.  You don't need the sdk, just the runtime

Once the replacer is running, drag this file into the input box

C:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Cyberpunk 2077\archive\pc\content\basegame_4_gamedata.archive

Then create a folder that will hold the backup and drag that onto the backup folder box

D:\cyberpunk 2077\backup

The find and replace strings are from "underwear" to "underwe_r"

Don't worry about all that encoding stuff, just leave the encoding as ASCII

(I intended to make this be a more generic tool, and the added transparency should help when trying to figure out which encoding to use)

Current Playthru

In my current playthru, I wanted a character that isn't quite human.  A cyborg killing machine

She will be specced evenly between hacking and melee.  Double jump legs, Mantis arms

So guns are looked down on.  When you are the killing machine, why would you need some crude gun?

Same with clothing - armor, health are internal.  Clothing is unnecessary and just gets in the way
