Premise

Do you find it strange that you escaped Konpeki Plaza in a fire fight after Saburo's Murder, and the NCPD doesn't seem to care throughout your entire playthrough?

Do you find it strange that you can whip out your gun in the middle of Night City and even fire it without much repercussions?

This mod aims to change that.

What this mod does

Depending on your settings the mod will give you a Wanted Level (or several) by simply pulling out / firing your gun or give you a Wanted Level after a set amount of time (or both). Wanted Levels can be given incrementally (so for example if you want a timer to give you up to 5 Wanted Levels after 10 seconds, it can do so one level at a time, or give you all 5 Wanted Levels immediately after 10 seconds). (All fully customizable)

Similarly the number of shots fired before you gain a Wanted Level can also be customized.

In addition you can cap both (the gun and/or the timer trigger) by the amount of Street Cred you have.

So for example you can customize it so that if you have a Street Cred between 5-10, you can only ever obtain up to 1 Wanted Level.

How it feels to play

It fundamentally changes how you play Cyberpunk 2077, making you a true fugitive that constantly needs to watch their back.

You will be chased by the police a lot more.

The usual way in which you get Wanted Levels in-game is also unchanged.

The best way to evade under these circumstances (other than combat) is to genuinely hide in buildings or side streets and to stay off the main streets, otherwise the chances of racking up Wanted Levels is pretty high.

Expect to see a lot more police escalations than in vanilla.

- Put the folder into \Cyberpunk 2077\bin\x64\plugins\cyber_engine_tweaks\mods

- Check the Native Mod Settings page for everything else.

Known Issues

[]Yes, the left mouse button trigger is less than ideal for certain situations but it was the easiest to implement and actually feels quite natural in-game, especially if you set it to trigger after a few clicks, rather than a single click. Potential issue here is that it is indiscriminate of whether you are stealth killing or not. You will obtain a Wanted Level either way.
