ETG Test - Best Fighter For Taiwan - F-15X Eagle II

EMERGING THREATS GROUP Best fighter for Taiwan (baseline): ROCAF aircraft vs PLAAF & PLAN aircraft. Date Time Group: 05/0200Z/MAY2024 Location: Taiwan Straits. Aim: To test how the Republic of China’s (ROC) air force and People’s Republic of China’s aviation assets could fare in an air battle across the Taiwan straits. In the last test, we saw how a fairly contemporary ROCAF fared against the PRC. In this version, Taiwan forces will mostly utilise F-16V Vipers, as well as F-15CX and F-15EX Eagle IIs to attempt to repel a PRC incursion into its airspace; will they do better than the last attempt, where they lost with circa a 2:1 kill ratio in the PRC’s favour? --------------- ROC Forces: ROCAF Aircraft (unchanged from standard ORBAT): Totals (Source: Wikipedia and Scramble.nl): ~X130 AIDC F-CK-1; X24 operational in this scenario. ~X141 F-16 Fighting Falcons with over 200 planned by 2026; X52 operational in this scenario, with all being F-16Vs or aircraft that have been updated to that standard.
