ETG Test: USN 1991 CVBG vs USN 2030 CSG

EMERGING THREATS GROUP Welcome to the ETG; you’ve seen this scenario demonstrated on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AAoGp-F81sQ&ab_channel=EmergingThreatsGroup Do you think that you can do better? Well, here’s is your chance! --------------- 01 May 2030 ETG Test: US Navy 1990 CVBG vs US Navy 2030 CSG: US Navy (USN) 1990 Carrier Battle Group (CVBG) vs USN 2030 Carrier Strike Group Date Time Group: 01/1800Z/MAY2030 Location: Pacific Ocean, in the vicinity of Hawaii and Midway. Aim: To test how a Gulf War USN CVBG fares against a circa 2030 USN CSG. There was almost a forty-year gap between the 1941 Japanese attack on Peal Habour and the 1980 film, The Final Countdown. The gulf in technology is obvious between assets like the A6M Zero and the F-14A Tomcat; but how does an AIM-54C armed F-14B compare to an F-35C Lightning carrying AIM-260 JATMs? It’s time to find out! --------------- ~2030 US Forces: John F Kennedy CSG Ships: X1 USS John F Kennedy X1 USS Specter X1 USS Monitor X1 USS Zumwalt X2 Arleigh Burke Flight III DDGs X2 Constellation FFGs X1 USNS Supply X2 Large Unmanned Surface Vessels (LUSVs) X2 Sea Hunter USVs X2 Phantom s (Possible LCS Replacement) X2 Ghost s & X2 Ghost s (all embarked on USS Specter) ----- John F Kennedy CSG Submarines: X1 USS Barb (Virginia Class, Flight V) X1 USS Vermont X1 USS Seawolf ----- John F Kennedy CSG Airwing: X5 E-2D Hawkeyes X12 XQ-58A Valkyries (UCAVs) X6 MQ-9B Sea Guardians (STOL UAVs) X12 F/A-18E Super Hornet Blk IIIs X12 F/A-18F Super Hornet Blk IIIs X6 E/A-18G Growlers X28 F-35C Lightnings X12 MQ-25 Stingrays (AAR UAV) X12 X-47B (UCAVs) X8 MH-60R Seahawks X10 V-247 Vigilantes X6 MH-60S Knighthawks X3 CMV-22B Ospreys ----- Hawaii based Aircraft: X4 B-21A Raiders X2 SR-72 Auroras X4 P-8A Poseidon X10 KC-46 Pegasus X1 RQ-180B UAV X2 MQ-4C Triton --------------- ~1990 US Forces: Joint CVBG Ships: X2 Nimitz Class CVNs (CVN-69 & 71) X
