Red Dragon #3 - Hammer

Mission involves Air ops against ground units with both PGMs and Iron bombs, you will not face any opposition in the air. You will have to conduct SEAD/DEAD operations as well as strikes against protected target and to top it all off, conduct an opposed landing operation. There is a bit of logistics involved too, all airbases have free space for reinforcements, use them as you'll see fit. - A Taiwanese frigate exploded. Then suddenly another. In all 6 ships were mysteriously sunk. A PLAN Yuan submarine had been stalking the group and fired its torpedoes. Without a capable sonar system all 6 were sunk one after the other, powerless to stop their attackers. The warning soon came and Taiwan prepared for the offensive. Soldiers everywhere assumed battle positions while civilians sought shelter. The chinese attack was devastating. For 3 hours the night sky lit up as wave after wave of ballistic missiles got intercepted by Patriot and THAAD. Numbers were on the chinese side. Once the patriot batteries ran out and had to reload key Air Defense targets started to get hit. The massive warheads were too fast to be engaged by guns and so Airbases were cratered, hardened shelters split open by penetrating missiles. Despite that the Taiwan Air Force still sortied and engaged the PLAAF furiously. It was a hopeless fight and soon most of it found itself destroyed. The few aircraft left fled northeast towards Okinawa. The war on the sea went similarly. The PLAN engaged and destroyed all ships of the Taiwan navy without as much of a loss. The Yilan harbor was hit but despite all odds some ships survived. Those remnants immediately set sail Northeast for Okinawa, hoping to join with JMSDF units and the american carrier group. As TV stations everywhere showed the carnage reminiscent from Operation Iraqi Freedom the “Greater enemy” moved its forces in the Sea of Japan, Okinawa and Guam.
