More Diverse Maps

This Mod adds 9 new Map Types, and advanced map settings: (The vanilla maps will still be playable, of course) Diverse Continents This variation of the Continents Plus Map Type features a dynamic amount of mountains & hills, and a more dynamic biome distribution. The biomes will no longer be created based on the latitude, but randomly. That means: No more biomes that just stretch across the globe from west to east along a certain latitude! The number of mountains and hills will vary from game to game too, but will on average generate a few more mountains than per default, and also generate them in bigger clusters/mountain chains. Additionally, you can set the amount of mountains, biome sizes and chances in the advanced maps setting screen. Jungle and Tundra will still be generated around their specific latitudes, but now also have a chance to deviate from that latitude a bit, and be larger or smaller. Finally, there are also some islands besides the continents, just as in the normal Continents Plus Map type.
