BMG Mod – New Balanced Map Type:​ The BMG mod introduces a new map type, “Continents-BMG” , specifically designed to balance starting locations and resource distribution across hemispheres. It supports 4 / 6 / 8 and 10 (experimental) players per continent. New Map Generation Script​ The file continents-bmg.js completely replaces the standard Continents generator. Bonus Resource Placement​ Automatic iron and horse placement between 4 and 6 tiles from each starting location. New Map Sizes​ 4 players → 54×47 with 4 natural wonders 6 players → 80×65 with 5 natural wonders 8 players → 90×65 with 6 natural wonders 10 players → 95×70 with 6 natural wonders Player Spacing​ Minimum distance of 10 tiles between players Preferred spacing : 12 tiles Leaders and civilizations with the highest bias are placed first to ensure their preferred spawn New Start Plot Assignment Algorithm​ The file assign-starting-plots-bmg.js extends and adapts Civilization VII’s starting location logic to handle 4, 6, 8, and 10-player configurations on the same continent. It fully replaces assign-starting-plots-mjpcount.js. How to Use​ Install the BMG mod in your Mods folder In the game’s map selection screen , choose “Continents-BMG” Select your preferred map size First Release Notice : Remapping may be necessary in some edge cases.
