📋 About This Mod

Please note: The mod ID has changed from version 1.2 onwards, so if you're using an older version through CivMods, you may need to fully remove the old mod folder and do a fresh install in order to receive updates through the app. What This Mod Does Improves the Settler Lens 'appeal layer' by making it more transparent and easier to see underlying terrain and features. Resources , Natural Wonders , Volcanoes , and Navigable Rivers now stand out with their own colours (optional). Together, these things should make it easier to plan your settlement expansions. Features: Variable transparency for revealed and unrevealed tiles, to compensate for game lighting Highlights features of interest so they don’t fade into the map Removes redundant red highlighting of water tiles during advanced start city placement Skips over mountains, and navigable rivers if feature highlighting disabled, when considering 'blocked' tiles Dynamically refreshes the layer in response to changes in map visibility (e.g., unit movement, fog of war lifted, debug map reveal) Includes theme options : Base Game and Civ VI–style (toggle in the Add-Ons tab of the Options menu) Localised into all supported languages ( machine translation) If you change any mod options while the lens is active, toggle it off and on to refresh the colours.
